  Fillings - Amalgam (silver), Composite (white), Gold
  • Numbness from anesthetic may last approximately 2-4 hours.
  • Watch that children don't bite their lip or tongue.
  • Bite may need adjustment after numbness is gone. If so, please call the office for an appointment. It should only take a few moments to adjust.
  • Avoid chewing on the new filling for the first day.
  • Sensitivity to cold may last approximately 2 weeks.
  • There should be no throbbing or constant pain.
  • The tooth should feel smooth to the tongue.
  • Brush and floss like a natural tooth.
