Sealants
- Sealants are a preventive procedure, for particular individuals,
on erupted teeth.
- Sealants are a material placed on the chewing surfaces of molars,
in the pits and grooves, to prevent the retention of food and
bacteria. Thereby, preventing tooth decay.
- This procedure does not require anesthetic.
- Children can eat right after the appointment.
- If the sealant comes off, it should be replaced.
- Teeth should be brushed right after every meal to help sealants
do their job.
