  Sealants
  • Sealants are a preventive procedure, for particular individuals, on erupted teeth.
  • Sealants are a material placed on the chewing surfaces of molars, in the pits and grooves, to prevent the retention of food and bacteria. Thereby, preventing tooth decay.
  • This procedure does not require anesthetic.
  • Children can eat right after the appointment.
  • If the sealant comes off, it should be replaced.
  • Teeth should be brushed right after every meal to help sealants do their job.
