Dr. Darren Buschel B.Sc., D.M.D - General Dentist

Dr. Darren Buschel B.Sc., D.M.D. Received his dental degree, as well as his undergraduate degree in Microbiology, from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Buschel is certified by the National Examining Board of Canada, as well as the British Columbia College of Dental Surgeons, and has been extended hospital privileges with the Kelowna General Hospital. Dr. Buschel is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is working toward his fellowship distinction with the Academy.

Dr. Buschel is an active participant in the dental community of the Thompson-Okanagan. He is president of the Kelowna and District Dental Society, and he is the coordinator of the "Emergency On-Call" service for the Dental Society. He volunteers his time as an instructor with the Certified Dental Assisting program at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Buschel is very aware of the ever changing face of dentistry and the need to stay current and informed, so as to provide the best treatment possible to each patient. To do this he participates in a great deal of continuing dental education. In the past two years, Dr. Buschel has completed over two hundred hours of course work. To accomplish this he takes time out of his practice to attend seminars as well as participating in several monthly study groups, such as: The Faculte of Orthodontic Research and Continuing Education, The Thompson Okanagan Tucker Affiliated Cast Gold Study Club, and the Seattle Study Club.

In his off time, Dr. Buschel stays involved with his local community through his involvement with the local Rotaract group. A young community service group.
